Dodge Beer RULES (unofficial)

Team play (2-on-2, 3-on-3, etc.)
  1. Two teams are formed and play on opposite sides of the table
  2. Both teams place up to 5 beer bottles on both ends of the table with both unopened beer cans behind the bottle(s) arrangement.
  3. Each team can customize the arrangement of the bottles at the start of the game only. Teams may only reset the arrangement if the bottles are moved accidentally.
  4. Teams alternate 1-for-1 throwing their ping-pong balls at their opponents beer bottles. Hitting the beer cans are always legal.
  5. If the thrower hits one of the opponents bottles, only the thrower can chug their beer until the opponents retrieve the ball and yell "STOP!" as soon as they place the ball over the can/bottle which was hit.
  6. If the ball is caught by the defending team prior to the ball hitting the ground, any one member of the defending team can chug their beer until the thrower runs once around the table. For a catch to be legal, it can only touch the table prior to hitting the ground.
  7. Penalty sips are awarded for illegal drinking as a result from an illegal catch or stoppage of play.
  8. When a player has finished their beer and it is their turn to throw, for the thrower to drink any of their teammates beer, their teammate must pour the beer in a plastic cup (known as the Team Cup). Pouring can only begin once the thrower hits an opposing beer bottle with the ball. The beer does not have to be fully poured for the thrower to drink however, any pouring or drinking from the plastic cup must stop once the defending team yells stop.
  9. Any team member can drink beer from the Team Cup on any turn.
  10. The team to finish both of their beers first wins.

1 on 1
  1. Players play on opposite sides of the table
  2. Place 1 unopened beer can on each end of the table
  3. If using bottle(s) instead of the beer can as a throwing target, players may place their beer can behind the bottle(s).
  4. Players switch off throwing their ping-pong balls at their opponents beer can/bottle(s). Hitting the beer can is always legal.
  5. If the players hit their opponents can/bottle(s), they can begin to chug their beer until the opponent retrieves the ball and yells "STOP!" as soon as they places the ball over the can/bottle which was hit.
  6. If the ball is caught by the defending player prior to the ball hitting the ground, the defender can chug his/her beer until the thrower runs once around the table. For a catch to be legal, it can only touch the table prior to hitting the ground.
